Week 2

Upcoming:  In keeping with our Theme for 21/22 of Reconnecting, we have the following two announcements: Pics of the Week We are kicking off school with SPIRIT WEEK!  See the events below on Week at a Glance. We will be holding Back to School Night IN PERSON with the following conditions: Only one parent per child in a classroom. Must wear masks Those who cannot attend will be given notes of the meeting and info pack On the first day of school, students were given their ID’s for Canvas and Microsoft.  They are the same as last year for returning students.  Watch for these over the weekend.  New families will need to activate the Microsoft account using a cell phone.  Here are video instructions for Microsoft activation: Video Guide to Activating Microsoft Account Week at a glance:  Monday: Crazy Hair and Sock Day Tuesday: Cray Hat Day Wednesday: Sports Day Thursday: closed for Yom Kippur Friday: Nature’s Gifts Day (animals, earth, space, etc.) Best Links: Calendar – Progressive School (progressiveli.org) Messages:  Our Theme for 21/22: Reconnecting:  After a long “winter” of separation and isolation, we will be seeking ways to reconnect as a staff, with our families, and with and between our students. Review:  This strange week of holidays left us with just one day of school!  We know the busses are unreliable at the beginning, just give them another week to learn their runs and things should settle down.  In the pic, Middle Schoolers learn about the Riot Act (just kidding).  Ms. Carol comes back with her first volunteer Karen Mallick, after a year of teaching from home.
