4th: Megan Guzman

Ms. Megan has been a part of our teaching staff at Progressive since 2015.  Over the past fourteen years, she has taught (and learned) at a variety of schools across New York, including Adelphi and CUNY Brooklyn. She has earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Theatre Arts, and a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. In addition to Childhood Education she also holds New York State Certifications in Students with Disabilities, and Early Childhood Education; as well as experience with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy.

Megan is a very proud mom to her two amazing children. She also has two dogs who she loves dearly. Megan enjoys spending every second she can with her family. Her family values their yearly travel to the Catskills, where they hike and appreciate the great outdoors. She also absolutely loves drawing, writing, running, anything turquoise, being outdoors (especially at the beach), and thinks that music just makes everything better!

Her philosophy?

“Positivity inspires positivity, Compassion inspires compassion,
Curiosity inspires curiosity… and Goodness inspires goodness.”
