Spanish: Nelly Real-Korb

Ms. Nelly is a fifteen year veteran spanish teacher from the Plainedge School system.  She has a BA in elementary education from Queens College, and MS in special education form Adelphi, and a PD from Fordham in School Administration.  Ms. Nelly has visited over 20 nations, and has coordinated student trips to foreign countries for many years. She has volunteer teaching experience in Ecuador, Peru and Nepal.

Ms. Nelly came to this country at age 15.  She made her own way, and has had a rich career as an elementary school teacher, a special education teacher, and Spanish teacher.  She feels that in her role at Progressive School she had been able to combine all her career knowledge into the position.

Ms. Nelly is married with one son. She is a wise, caring, and extremely helpful person, a real God-send to Progressive School.  Much of her personal strengths she learned through meditation, which she began to study years ago as a way to cope with stress.  She is now a committed volunteer at the Kadampa Center in Massapequa.
